I love a good cherry jam and was excited to see a reduced sugar one in our local store. Since it was a special sale of the day item, I purchased two. I have had better cherry jams, as well as reduced sugar ones, but I decided it was good enough for my morning toast. Well, about halfway through the jar, my morning toast was riddled with pieces of cherry pits! How off-putting! Thankfully I have strong teeth or I may have chipped a few! The jar does say, MAY CONTAIN PITS, but I thought it was just in case the odd little piece may get through in processing. It was much more than that. Cherry pits contain cyanide. If my little jar had that many, how many are in the large batches that are made? I threw them both out. They are made in Poland, otherwise I would contact them directly. What a disappointment!
